I moved to Taiwan 25 years ago, studied Mandarin at Chinese Culture University for a year and a half, and raised my family here. Everyday life with Taiwanese friends and other parents taught me a lot about how Taiwanese and Japanese culture differ, and I bring that into class.

I teach conversation, grammar, JLPT prep, business Japanese, and interview practice. Lessons usually start with a short vocabulary quiz and a review of the previous lesson, so what you learn sticks. Depending on your level, we add shadowing or verb-conjugation drills. I also introduce Japanese seasons, festivals, and customs.

I enjoy yoga, piano, and karaoke. If you like singing, we can spend the last ten minutes on a Japanese song.
